This conflict of interest may force Foust to step aside when it comes time for the Redwood City council to vote on this damaging development. However, how odd that a city council member from one city would file a complaint about another council member from a different city. This suspected conflict has been in the news for months. Was there not a Redwood City resident who could have filed a complaint about his or her own council member?
It's one thing for the City of Menlo Park to pass a resolution opposing the Cargill development being that the impacts will spill over to all the surrounding towns.
