The loss of David Lewis will touch 1,000's. As a retired
CDCR teacher, I am angry that someone would destroy a life-line for the incarcerated and wounded. I am proud to have known him and will never forget what he accomplished. This tragic loss will not end with his funeral.

David Lewis was a strong powerful fearless man. He spoke and did what he believed in -- advocating for the dignity, hope and respect of those who had gone astray, with God always at his side.

As one who has known David as a next door neighbor on Wisteria Drive. Since 1962, it is with great sorrow to know that not only East Palo Alto has lost a great person, but to everyone life that he has touch. Thoughts and prayers to his children, his mother and the rest of his family.
