according to the caption, one is a contractor with Biosphere and the other is a Portola Valley home owner.

Isn't that strange?
Friday morning it made no mention of the contractor nor his company name online, nor did it mention the PORTOLA VALLEY at all. Hence, my question. I asked my wife to look and she did not see them mentioned either.

These systems have been in regular use in Marin ,Sonoma, Mendocino for over 10 years and in Alameda Co. and Contra Costa Co. for the last 5 years.
San Mateo County Environmental Health has been very slow in recognizing their advantages and have not changed their regulations to allow them. It would require a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the SF regional water board and could be done fairly quickly if they were willing.
