Well, this will suck for those of us living next to the construction, and more specifically having our living room window next to the proposed garbage dumpster location.

A restaurant would be ideal.
Whatever is put in there, remember it is near Menlo School.

Could someone please explain to me why, when there of gobs of available office/medical space already out there, someone wants to put up even more of the same???
Why isn't this site being considered for housing?

I think the City is stuck on Office space. I guess they want high unoccupied buildings in the city. Why not a resturant?? Just say no!!

Or why the "visionary" consultants want to turn the southern end of El Camino into high rise office buildings. To whose benefit?

How about a Peter Luger West. This famous Williamsburg restaurant would be a great addition to Menlo Park. It would also be the best steak house west of the East River.

There is demand for medical/dental office because Stanford's expansion is causing the Welch Road offices to move off campus. Rather than build offices on Stanford land in Menlo Park, the doctors are forced to find their own. Developers are happy to do this, especially when Menlo Park sllows medical offices in the commercial district. The city has been loathe to specify what uses are okay or to say no to almost anything.
