I thank Joe for his comments, and wish him the best in getting changes made. I would ask, however, that when we write about the "Education Crisis" in California, we all agree that the problem is a matter of state-wide priorities. If California truly believed that education was our future (jezz....even China and India and others know that!)then all the legislators would do the right thing: even raising taxes to make it right.

On the College education costs, I would also ask that our focus be balanced between the UC's and the State Universities. The kids at the State schools are getting squeezed too, and many of them have no way to go but "out". And those trying to graduate find they are locked into a undefined period, waiting for the classes to open. It is enough to make you want to leave!
