Local woman named among top 100 financial advisers

Barron's magazine named financial adviser Hilary Giles of Portola Valley to the 2009 list of the top 100 financial advisers who are women. Ms. Giles works out of the Menlo Park office of Merrill Lynch's Private Banking and Investment Group and manages more than $1 billion in assets for individuals with a typical net worth of $50 million and a typical account under management of $15 million, the Barron's listing said.
