two ADULT size basketball courts or for any other recreational facility, on the Burgess campus..I have noticed when bringing Jr. to the library there is a major number of senior and almost senior residents that are afternoon patrons. I do not know what the head count of the visitors is but based on the cars in the parking lot, there are few spaces left to park for
parents with their children . Furthermore, in reading the Environmental Impact Report, it reveals that the streets accessing BURGESS park are at near gridlock now,as reported by the "Traffic analysis". The intersections serving Ravenswood, Middlefield, and Willow Rd at Middlefield are NOW rated at "LEVEL OF SERVICE- F- This means that we have no more capacity on those streets and their intersections ...and to propose that we do, will doubtless force another CEQA LAWSUIT.....should the council BE PERSUADED TO pass this proposal. Why would the City Manager, and the City Attorney, who I am sure are familiar with CEQA issues, be so irresponsible as to permit this project to even be considered. WORSE ,WE ARE:

. Why was the council being brainwashed about the need for this proposal and pushed into approving the bonds, when they have not even seen the DRAFT EIR, much less the FINAL EIR,. Menlo Park administrations have had a habit for the past 15 years, of bringing controversial projects to a council vote during Summer vacations, when public awareness is low, and the council may be missing a member or two.The Summer surprise.!!
