Amici's is a very welcome addition to Menlo Park. I used to visit my Aunt and Uncle in Brooklyn and loved going to genuine Italian 86th street Pizzarias by the elevated subway. The brick oven was so hot that it would create air bubbles in the pizza crust. And of course there was black soot on the bottom of each slice. They only used fresh mozzarella cheese with homemade tomato sauce. There is nothing in the world like New York Pizza. When I was at AFSOUTH in Bagnoli, Italy I would go to places in Naples like Il Cantinone and Ciros Santa Brigida in the Via Roma and Papardella in the Vomero and none of their pizzas could compare to New York Pizza. They all had a heavy hand with the olive oil and were not fond of using tomato sauce.
I was sad when Round Table vacated its location on Alameda de las Pulgas. But even if their lease had been renewed I would have not given them any more business once Amici's had opened.
Buon Appetito

The food at Amici's is excellent. The resturant design is beautiful. We love the patio sitting. We have been there twice since it opened. It's a great addition to downtown.

Avoid the gnocchi. Not just disappointing -- unpalatable.

I've been to Amici's in MP twice and while the pizza is OK, there's no comparison to NY pizza. Come on!
