Jeff, Anne, and Danny are major stars on the Traditional Jazz circuit and will be featured at the Monterey Dixieland Festival March 6 through 8, where Jeff will also perform as a soloist and as leader of the highly popular Titan 7 jazz band. They are extending their California visit to play ragtime in the Bay Area because it’s the only time they can be scheduled to do so. They’re that busy. In addition to performing for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company on the Mississippi River, Peter Dehlman Cruises in France, and numerous cruises with the Radisson and Crystal Cruise, Ivory and Gold is featured every year at the prestigious Keswick and Bude Jazz Weeks in England as well as the Sun Valley, ID, Evergreen and Denver, CO, Sedalia, MO, Medford and Seaside, OR, Clearwater, FL, Victoria, BC festivals and the Monterey, Mammoth Lakes, Orange County, Pismo Beach, Three Rivers, and Eureka jazz festivals in California. Jeff himself manages the Titan Hot 7 plus two bands in the U.K. He owns his own recording label, Jazz Alive Records, and is currently signed with Arbors Records. Nan Bostick is the grandniece of ragtime era composer/publisher Charles N. Daniels who helped Scott Joplin, the “King of Ragtime,” promote his first rag in 1899. An avid scholar, educator, and writer, Nan is a featured artist and lecturer at ragtime festivals across the nation, always adding a bit of history to the toe-tapping music she plays. Classically trained Nan and Anne hope to sneak in some of the melodious, romantic music they love, but Jeff, the pianistic speedster, and Danny, the wizard of percussion, much prefer to rag and jazz things up, so prepare for a wonderfully varied program of favorite and rare tunes from the Ragtime to Jazz era, presented with love, camaraderie, and plenty of humor.
