There is no one, in my lifetime, who was more generous to me while inviting me into his private home to work at the organ in the Pony Tracks Concert Hall. Crafted like many of the Baroque organs I have had the honor of playing in Europe, Jacques commissioned a unique instrument that was a joy to learn to play while at NDNU in Belmont. Few remember that the Stanford University organ students, when the Memorial Chapel was closed for retrofit, were also invited to keep working there at Pony Tracks. And countless children were delighted to that awesome sound in the many Organ Encounters which took place there under Dr. Angela Craft Cross.
My next concert will be dedicated to Jacques Littlefield and my memories and gratitude are unending as I wish my sincere condolences to his family and the men who worked with him on the restorations for all those armored vehicles.
