This is just not a big deal. Why bust chops over a clerical error?

I would like to make clear that this is what I sent to the Almanac editors about the stickers: "After reading that The Almanac endorsed Council incumbents Cohen and Fergusson, I was confused to receive in the mail this week's Almanac edition with Rick Ciardella's campaign sticker on it. Because the sticker did not indicate that it was paid by Ciardella's campaign and did not even include the campaign's address as required for campaign mailings, it appeared as if HE were endorsed by The Almanac. Apparently the FPPC rules for disclosure did not anticipate this sort of misleading campaign literature. I would hope that your policy will be modified to require disclosure of who paid for such material."
I was pleased that the editor agreed, in his response.

It is irresponsible for a paper like the Almanac to endorse candidates (especially if they suck such as in this case).
