Career con man avoids prison for check fraud

I appreciate that individuals should have the opportunity to turn their life around and can reform. However, I find it inappropriate that this person is "doing volunteer work with sick children at Stanford University's Ronald McDonald House and with seniors at the Peninsula Volunteers Little House facility in Menlo Park". If this person has a "lengthy history of con convictions" why is he allowed to volunteer and work closely with sick children and with seniors. I applaud Mr. Miller for being "actively engaged in volunteer work" but would hope he would volunteer in situations where he does not work closely with individuals in these more vulnerable situations.

Also, what are the screening procedures for volunteering at organizations such as Ronald McDonald House and Little House?

Hey, I bought the Golden State Warriors Basketball Team. Are you trying to tell me that I really don't own them? This guy also offered to sell me the Park Theatre. It seemed like a good deal so I gave him a deposit. He told me that he also wants to become a consultant for the city of Menlo Park since they are doing all these studies. He said he would be making a lot of money and offered me a share if I would help him, but I turned him down. Maybe I should have accepted his offer.
