Stephen and Ayesha Curry purchased a $31 million home in Atherton, according to a Variety media report.
The Golden State Warriors point guard and his wife, celebrity chef and cookbook author Ayesha, bought the three-story home with a guesthouse and detached garage, according to the report.
In August, The Almanac received a tip on the same property, a 1.2-acre lot in West Atherton that was sold at the end of June, and found the deed and transaction details. The home was sold to a mystery entity tied to a wealth manager for celebrities and athletes, but The Almanac couldn't find a definite tie to the Currys. In the Variety article, it's unclear which records point to the Currys' ownership of the property.
Natalie and Joe Comartin previously owned the property, according to San Mateo County records. They purchased the home for $6.5 million in 2007, records show.
The owners applied to demolish the house for new construction in 2015, according to town of Atherton records.
The purchase of the property this year follows comments Stephen Curry made in April that he was considering a move because of a potentially difficult commute from his home in the East Bay to the Chase Center, the Warriors' new stadium in San Francisco.
The Currys sold their five-bedroom, 8.5-bath home in Alamo for $6.3 million earlier this year, according to Architectural Digest.

I don't want the address number, I respect their privacy. It would be nice however to know the street they live on. I heard the owner of the team Jo Lacob lives on the same street.

Really. It's a short street court and you already know one of them. As you said, respect their privacy.

Everyone deserves their privacy. There are a lot of “famous” people in Atherton. Please respect their privacy and let them enjoy their new beautiful home and town.

The article gives everything but the street address. It’s not hard to work things out given all the info on the inter web.

Another overpaid athlete who plays a childrens game moves to tony snooty Atherton. Who cares. It is outrageous what these entitled people get paid to bounce a ball. Firefighters, Police Officers, Educators, Nurses are the ones who deserve so much more. 31 million for a house...that is ridiculous!!!

Sounds like "laughing" and his/her post could benefit from a broader definition of respect. Like respecting Steph's talent, abilities and professional pursuit. His and other athletes' success does not take away from the firefighters, police officers, educators, nurses and their importance to the community. Agree they all "deserve so much more", yet do not lay that at the feet of those who have succeeded. And Steph and family give back to the community with significant impact---their success has helped enable them to do so. Welcome Curry's and may you enjoy your new home.
