Atherton to discuss town budget

The Atherton City Council will meet on Wednesday (June 5) and review the 2019-20 town budget for the fourth time.

Staff projects the town's total general fund revenues at $16.5 million against $14.6 million in expenditures during the 2019-20 fiscal year, which begins in July, according to a staff report. This results in a single-year surplus of $1.9 million.

The budget is set for adoption on June 19, City Manager George Rodericks said in an email.

The council will meet at 3 p.m. in Holbrook-Palmer Park's Pavilion, 150 Watkins Ave. in Atherton.
