There were two burglaries at construction sites off of Middlefield Road in Atherton on Monday (April 8), according to the Atherton Police Department.
Burglars stole about $600 worth of tools from a construction site on Linden Avenue, Atherton police Sgt. David Gomez said in an email. The other incident happened on Catalpa Drive, but nothing has been reported missing from this site, police said.
It’s unknown if the two incidents are related and police are investigating both, Gomez said.
Atherton has seen a spike in residential burglaries since November, prompting town staff to study the impacts of installing license plate readers and security cameras around town.
