The Watkins Avenue railroad crossing in Atherton will be closed starting the evening of Saturday, Nov. 3, for construction.
The crossing will close at 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 and reopen by 6 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, according to a town of Atherton press release.
Caltrain contractor Balfour Beatty will install foundations in the vicinity of the crossing for the Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project.
The town asks drivers to use alternate routes during the closure. There will be detour signs directing traffic to Fair Oaks Avenue during the closure.
