Atherton looking to fill committee vacancies

Atherton is accepting applications for membership on the town's Park & Recreation and Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory committees.

The town normally recruits annually for committee vacancies in March, but recently vacancies arose because members moved, according to a town press release. Lida McCarthy, whose term was set to end in June 2019, left the bike committee, said Deputy City Manager/City Clerk Theresa DellaSanta. Longtime Park & Recreation Committee member Denise Kupperman, whose term was also set to end in June 2019, also left, DellaSanta said.

Each committee has one opening.

Apply for the positions here or contact DellaSanta at tdellasanta@ci.atherton.ca.us or 650-752-0529 for more details.

The applications are due Monday, Nov. 5. The City Council will likely make appointments at its Nov. 14 meeting, according to the press release.
