Community prayer breakfast in Menlo Park Friday Community prayer breakfast in Menlo Park Friday (February 17, 1999)

Several Menlo Park churches are inviting the public to a community prayer breakfast on Friday, February 19, at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.

Hosted by the Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, the breakfast is the brainchild of Mission Pastor Rick Langlow, who lunches with several of Menlo Park's fellow spiritual leaders every month.

"We want to invite the community to say thanks: we're grateful for the services of those who pump our gas, teach our children, and take care of our civic business," said Linda Whitley, who is helping organize the event while Pastor Langlow is abroad on church business. "We believe in the power of prayer, and we want to get together with other members of the Christian community."

Other sponsors include pastors from Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, Bethany Lutheran Church, Church of the Nativity, First Baptist Church, and Holy Trinity Church.

The event will begin at 7 a.m. in Menlo Presbyterian's Garden Court, 950 Santa Cruz Ave. Reservations are due February 11; call 323-8622 for more information.
